Primary to all rec activities is the code of conduct all parents or participants are required to sign on the registration form for sports which says:

 

By signing this Code of Conduct, I indicate I understand the rules of behavior, to wit: any of the following behaviors at practices or games is unacceptable: 1) cursing, vulgarity, or any language or action  that is derogatory or demeaning to any other person, 2) violence or disrespect, verbally or physically,  toward any coach, player or referee, and further more I acknowledge that anyone, player, coach or spectator, breaking this code can and may be required to leave practices and/or games, and that if further similar bad behavior is demonstrated, will be barred from any future game or practice.

 By signing this registration form and paying the fee, I do herby give my child permission to participate in the above activity. In consideration of me or my child’s participation in the program specified above, I agree as follows: (1) I, for myself and my personal representatives, release and discharge the City of Lamar, its agents, officers, and employees, from all claims for personal injury, damage, or loss of property, liability or expense, including attorney’s fees, arising out of my  or my child’s participation in the above program, notwithstanding any claim of fault or negligence (whether sole, concurrent or otherwise) on the part of the City, its agents, officers or employees, and, (2) I do hereby grant and give the City of Lamar the right to use my or my child’s photograph or image for any publication or promotion of the activities of the City of Lamar.
